From Classroom to the Big Screen

In OIART's second studio theatre classroom, students in a max class size (32) will learn about Audio for Visual Media and production sound. This interactive classroom features a C24 with new Focusrite Preamps for the cleanest Foley and Dialogue recordings.


In this classroom, students can use the Foley/Vocal Booth to record as much as possible for their Audio for Visual Media projects. This studio also doubles, where we build a mock film set to teach how to work on location with professional equipment. OIART students get to work with the Sound Devices 833, 633, multiple Mix Pre sound recorders and a wide variety of film and television grade lavalier microphones by DPA, Sanken, Sennheiser and more! Even if you’ve never seen any of this equipment before, the education from this room will have you prepared for set in just 11 months.
