Big Sounding Recording in a Compact Size

Studio 1 serves as the cornerstone of the audio engineering education here at OIART. Equipped with state-of-the-art technology and acoustically designed for precision, Studio 1 sets the stage for the educational experience. The live floor is 450 sqft with carpeted and laminate floor options to create any desired sound. With up to 16 channels of tracking availability, this studio is where students learn:

The control room has taken a complete overhaul, moving to a more modern and clean design. We’ve included an Argosy desk with various new preamps and a smaller control surface, running a Pro Tools HDX system. This studio provides generous sightlines to the ISO booth and the live floor for any arrangement. With multiple ties to the live floor, musicians can easily track in the comfort of the control room with the sound fully isolated in the live room. The Studio 1 control room space was designed for comfort, simplicity, and versatility.
