Arthur Bastos - Alumni Spotlight

Arthur Bastos (’11) is a Composer/Engineer at BoomBox Sound. A jack of all trades, Arthur takes part in the full audio production of projects from start to finish – from Location Sound to Sound Design, Foley, Music Composition, Audio Restoration and Mixing.


A very proud graduate from OIART, Arthur worked as an Assistant Engineer/Assistant Technician at the prestigious Revolution Recording in Toronto. There, alongside House Technician Anthony Kuzub, Chief Engineer Joe Dunphy and fellow Assistant Engineer Jack Clow, Arthur helped finalize the construction of Studio C. This task included the building and modification of a custom Ward Beck L3262 console. At Revolution, Arthur had the opportunity to work with a wide roster of artists that included Ron Sexsmith, Buck 65, and Lights.
