Andrew Brown - Alumni Spotlight

We talked to Andrew (’06 Graduate) the last time he visited London on tour with Mother Mother. In 2022 he toured 203 days across 20 countries, mixing Front of House in clubs, outdoor festivals, arenas and football stadiums. Mother Mother recently supported Imagine Dragons across Europe and headlined their 2nd US tour, immediately followed by a headlining tour of the EU and UK.

In February of 2023, Mother Mother takes their first trip to tour Australia and New Zealand.

Andrew has been a Tour Manager and Live Mix engineer for numerous bands. He has mixed Big Sugar opening for AC/DC. He has worked as a Tour Manager and Front Of House mixer for Kira Isabella, Tyler Shaw and Wide Mouth Mason. He also works freelance for many Live sound companies, including Solotech, PRG, Metalworks, PA Plus and Apex, to name a few, and has performed numerous shows with the stage union IATSE.

Andrew says, ‘I’d say OIART provided me with an excellent foundation, with which I’ve been able to build upon and find support throughout my career. Almost subconsciously, I refer back to things I learned in the program, everything from basic signal flow when troubleshooting to how to manage professional situations on an interpersonal level.” Congratulations Andrew!
